The following Frequently Asked Questions are to prepare you for your first class to help you start your yoga journey with as much ease as possible and.   The staff at Mi Vida Yoga is available throughout the week to answer any questions you may have.

Hot Yoga

Combinations of hatha yoga poses done in a room that is between 100F-105F degrees with increased humidity. These poses help to increase strength and flexibility while helping the body detoxify.

Chair Yoga

A gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair, or standing using a chair for support. This class gives a good workout for beginners and people recovering from injuries.

Warm and Gentle

Our warm and gentle classes are done at 90F degrees. This class focuses on the fundamentals of yoga showing modifications to accommodate all yoga levels.

Room Temp Hatha Yoga

Combinations of hatha yoga poses done at room temperature. These poses help to increase strength and flexibility while helping the body detoxify.

Child Yoga

This class offers children from the age of 4-12 basic yoga poses presented in a fun and game-like manner. This is a great class to help teach focus and control while still having fun.

Warm Vinyasa

Combinations of Hatha Yoga poses done at a slightly faster pace in a more fluid like movement. Performed in 90 – 95 F allowing you to raise your internal temperature with your breath and movement.

bottle of water*, empty stomach, proper hydration.  
Proper attire: wear something light and fitted such as sport bras, shorts, spandex short/leggings. Avoid sweats, long pants, heavy t-shirts, as we heat the room for some classes. *We have water for sale and mats for rent/purchase at the studio in case you forget!

Get to class at least 10 minutes before to give yourself enough time to set up and prepare.


Remove your shoes before you enter the yoga room.


Leave cell phones and electronics out of the yoga room.


If the room is full, please move down closer to you neighbor to make room for all students.


You may sit or lay down at any time during your class.  We encourage you to go at your own pace and to listen to your body at all times.


Feel free to drink water at any time during your class.  We suggest you do at least a couple times during your class.  Try not to chug, or guzzle your water so you don’t upset your stomach.


Be courteous to other students and treat them they way you would want to be treated.  We are all at different levels in our yoga practice.  Be supportive of one another.


Be quiet and Courteous as you leave at the end of class.  Some students use that time to meditate/relax.
